The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church was organized in 1782. We have been around for over
200 years, and that maturity is a real plus. We know who we are and what we stand for. We have a long history as a close-knit,
loving denomination. Age can be a problem if no growth is taking place. Even a denomination can
become stagnant and out of touch. This has not happened to the ARP denomination. Our denomination is alive and continues to
grow-numerically, geographically and most important of all, spiritually. Age is a blessing in
that the issues which plague young denominations are not issues for ARPs. We have "been there." We have worked through all
sorts of social and theological issues and are now beyond the pitfalls of immaturity. We have aged well. We appreciate our
rich heritage, but we're building for the future!
